Hickory NC 2012 Polar Plunge

 

This years Polar Plunge and Torch Run will be hosted by the Hickory Police Department to benefit the Special Olympics of North Carolina. It will be Saturday February 11, 2012 at the Wittenburg Wildlife Access in the Bethlehem Community of Lake Hickory.

 

Registration starts at 11:00am and the Plunge starts at 1:00pm.  The minimum donation to participate in the Plunge is $50.00.

Get friends, enemies, in-laws, outlaws, co-workers, and others to particiapte or sponsor you to raise your plunge donation.

There will be music, doughnuts, coffee, and hot chocolate available during the event.

Dress up in your favorite comical plunge attire. Don’t forget to wear shoes and bring a towel and dry clothes.

The event is sponsored by the Hickory Police Department. All monies raised go directly to the Special Olympics of North Carolina. Rescue personel will be on site and in the water during the plunge.

The fund raiser is intended to be a fun filled family event to raise awareness and money for Special Olympics.
