Hickory NC Oasis Shriners Parade 2014

The 2014 The Fall Ceremonies Oasis Shriners Parade in Hickory NC will be Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm in downtown Hickory.   The parade begins at the corner of Main Ave. NW & 5th St. NW. The Parade will travel east through Union Square and loop back to 1st Ave. NW, ending at the corner of 1st Ave. NW & 5th St. NW.

It will be a  large, public ceremonial Parade, with dozens of parade units, including mini-motorcycles, race cars, clowns, and other exciting parade entertainment.

Oasis Shrine is the largest Shrine center in the world, with over 6,500 members. The Shriners sponsor 22 Children’s Hospital throughout North America, including Mexico and Canada, with a new Hospital soon to be built in the Philippines.

With a cost of in excess of $1.5 million dollars per day to operate these hospitals, Oasis Shrine is proud to consistently contribute the largest amount of donations to the hospitals on a yearly basis through the volunteer efforts of their members, clubs and parade units.

Funny hats and little motorcycles are the badge of an organization that has helped more than a million children with orthopedic problems, cleft lip and cleft palate, spinal problems, and severe burns to lead a normal life.
