Lenoir NC Blackberry Festival 2015

The 14th Annual Blackberry Festival will be in Downtown Lenoir, NC on Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 10am – 6:00 pm.

Vendors, Music, 5k Run/Walk, Blackberry Recipe Contest, Princess Pageant, Blackberry Eating Contest, Children’s 4H Activities and more.

To kick off the celebration, there will be a Front Porch Pickin’ Musician Contest, a Blackberry Recipe Contest and Blackberry GLOW 5k and Fun Run on Friday, July 10.

Starting at 6:00 pm, on the Mainstage, musicians are invited to enter the Front Porch Pickin’ and compete for cash prizes. Registration is helpful but not required. Group or individual performances and at least one stringed instrument required. On Saturday the winners will have the opportunity to take Main Stage as the last performers of the festival. At 7pm, SunnyRidge Farms will sponsor a Blackberry Recipe Contest. You must register no later than Thursday, July 9, at the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce. Cash prizes will be presented to the winners at the NC Blackberry Festival on Saturday. Youth and Adult categories are available. Please see the flyer and application. It will be a BERRY good time!

The 5k will start at  8:30 pm (or at DARK)) and the Fun Run will begin at 8:45 pm.

5k Run will cost $25 for each entry, and the 1 mile Fun Run will be $15.00.  Late entry fee will be $5 after July 1st.  Proceeds will benefit the Shelter Home of Caldwell County.

Local restaurants will also be open. Following the “Colossal Parade Brigade,” FREE BLACKBERRY COBBLER is available, while supplies last.
