The Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center will host a Mardi Gras celebration featuring a New Orleans-style dinner with musical entertainment by Ulysses Long of Statesville on Tuesday, February 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the Center’s Educational Complex.
Cost for dinner and the performance is $16 per person with tax included. Reservations are required and may be made by calling (828) 632-6966. Guests are encouraged to dress in costume although casual attire is welcome.
An accomplished piano man and gifted vocalist with an extensive knowledge of music, Ulysses Long has created a signature style all his own. A born performer, Long has entertained audiences throughout the region and appeared as a quarterfinalist on the popular national television show, “America’s Got Talent.” Long will entertain the audience with New Orleans inspired music, including selections by Louis Armstrong, Fats Domino, and Lloyd Price.
