The 6th Annual Robin’s Run 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Fun Run will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016 with start/finish line at Matheson Park in Taylorsville. The 1-Mile Fun Run begins at 8:30 a.m., with the 5K Run/Walk to begin at 9:00 a.m.
This special run is held in memory of Robin Rockett Bowen who was tragically hit by a car and killed while running on Christmas Eve 2010. The run is sponsored by the Robin’s Run Foundation, with race proceeds to be split between church missions and youth athletic scholarships in keeping with Robin’s passion for church and athletics.
Overall male and female winners will receive trophies for first, second, and third place. Medals will be awarded to the top three (3) runners in each age group, male and female. Age brackets will be 10-year span. All early registrants will receive a short-sleeve commemorative race t-shirt and goody bag. Water, Gatorade, and healthy snacks will be provided to participants to fuel your run.
Registration fee for the 5K is $20, or $25 after March 24. Registration fee for the Fun Run is $10, or $15 after March 24.
Packet Pick Up
Early race packet pickup is Friday, April 1 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church (Main Campus), 1400 Highway 16 South, Taylorsville. Race day registration and race packet pickup will be from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.
A spaghetti supper will be available during early race packet pickup from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the church for only $5 per person for those who wish to have supper and fellowship with fellow racers. Supper proceeds will go toward church mission projects.
