Hickory Museum of Art (HMA) announces its new series of Afternoon Art Teas, starting Sunday June 5, 4:30-6 p.m. in HMA’s Coe Gallery, 243 Third Ave., N.E., Hickory.
Enjoy an English style tea party and be immersed in the new exhibition On Common Ground: Pastel Paintings from the Mountains to the Sea.
On Common Ground features works from the 2016 North Carolina Statewide Juried Pastel Exhibition, a collaboration of the Appalachian Pastel Society, the Pastel Society of North Carolina and the Piedmont Pastel Society. The 2016 show is being hosted by the Appalachian Pastel Society.
The Afternoon Art Tea on June 5 will include an artist speaker and basic tea etiquette. In addition to a variety of English and floral teas, participants will be treated to scones, fruit, tea cakes and sandwiches. Teas provided by Citron & Silver.
Cost is $15 for HMA Members and $20 for Nonmembers. Space is limited. Call (828) 327-8576 to register.
