Evening of the Art presented by Hickory Museum of Art

Hickory Museum of Art’s Guild is taking reservations for its 42nd Annual Angels of the Arts (AOA) fundraising event to benefit Museum educational programs and offerings. AOA presents Evening for the Arts 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 at Lake Hickory Country Club, 430 17th Ave. N.W., Hickory.

This year’s fundraiser is new and improved, and although it will not be a brunch like previous AOA events, it will feature live and silent auctions. Featured live auction items include a Bald Head Island Fishing Trip, Sky Diving Experience, Disney World Park Hopper Tickets, Wine Tasting Experience for Six with Dr. Ismo Kaariainen and more. Live auction items can be viewed under the Guild tab on the Museum’s website at www.HickoryArt.org. Items will be updated on a regular basis during the weeks leading up to the event. This year’s live auctioneer is Sandra Pait-Clay.

The silent auction consists of quality, one-of-a-kind gifts, primarily donated from local small and family businesses. Guests will have the opportunity to browse through and bid on silent auction items while enjoying cocktails and heavy hors d’oeuvres.

This year’s AOA event also includes a raffle prize drawing for a Royal Caribbean four- or five-night cruise for two to Bermuda, Bahamas or the Caribbean. Raffle tickets are $30 and can be purchased online at www.HickoryArt.org.

Reservations to attend AOA’s Evening for the Arts are $50 per person and can be made securely online at www.HickoryArt.org. Cost includes two drink tickets. For more information about this fundraising event, contact HMA at 828-327-8576.

The 42nd Annual AOA Event Evening for the Arts is sponsored by Shurtape, Alex Lee, MDI and Lowes Foods, and Mr. and Mrs. Boyd L. George. Additional sponsors can be found at www.HickoryArt.org/Guild.
